Rorrym obtained her bachelor degree with double majors in law and applied psychology at Nanchang University in 2009. In 2011, she received a scholarship from the Foreign Affairs Department of Italy to pursue a Master degree major in Roman Law History in the Tor Vergata University in Rome, Italy. She was also awarded a Juris Doctor in Civil and Commercial Law from Xiamen University in 2012. In November 2013, she passed the China Accreditation Test for Translation and Interpreters.
Her research articles have been published in several academic journals in China including the Legal Book Review published by the Peking University Press and Research on Family Law published by the Chinese Social Science Press.
Prior to joining our firm, Rorrym worked as an in-house lawyer for a company in Shanghai focused on developing technology, electronic games and e-commerce. She has experience in corporate legal matters, especially in overseas direct investments of Chinese companies (“ODI”), legal compliance for media and technology related matters and other corporate and commercial legal issues.
Based in our Shanghai office, she advises on PRC law related matters including foreign direct investments, ODI, corporate restructuring, employment and intellectual property laws. Rorrym is fluent in Chinese and English.
