Brian obtained his double degrees in Bachelor of Laws and Business Administration in 2023 and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2024, all of which are from the University of Hong Kong.
Prior to joining our firm, Brian has gained exposure as an intern to different practice areas of law including drafting prospectus for an initial public offering, research on regulatory and compliance matters e.g. Chapter 18C of the Listing Rules, VIE structure and employee share options etc. at different law firms and chambers in Hong Kong.
In our firm, he assisted in a wide range of matters including probate and administration, intellectual property law, employment disputes and labour tribunal claims, the cases he was involved include :-
1. Assisting the Respondent as a co-counsel in a HKIAC arbitration in the HKIAC involving US and mainland entities.
2. Resisting a multimillion dollar Mareva injunction in Hong Kong taken out by a Fortune 500 company involving Irish law, Singapore arbitration and Hong Kong court proceedings.
3. Assisting a PRC bank in registering and enforcing a PRC judgment before the Hong Kong courts and resisting an application to discharge the charging order absolute.
4. Acting for a Hong Kong listed company in contesting a trademark infringement claim in the High Court brought by a UK listed company.
5. Acting for an intended defendant in contesting a writ of possession based on beneficial ownership in the property.
Brian is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
