Amanda obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wolverhampton. Prior to that she worked in the Judiciary and Police as a police interpreter and court interpreter.
Amanda practiced as a barrister in Hongkong from 2006 to 2011. Her main areas of practice as a barrister were criminal (including white collar crime and fraud cases) and civil litigation. She also sat as Deputy Special Magistrate in the Judiciary from time to time. In 2013, she was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong. She handles both criminal and civil cases, with emphasis on construction disputes, adverse possession, building management, infringement of intellectual property, dangerous drugs and commercial crimes. She appears on behalf of an extensive variety of clients including overseas and domestic corporations and individuals and special interest groups at various levels of the court. She acted for a large enterprise registered in mainland China in a contested winding up proceedings involving complicated issues of law. In our firm, she handles winding up and labour tribunal disputes, money laundering cases, corporate, commercial and property litigation.
Amanda is proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
