Jacky obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2017 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During his business studies, he gained exposure to different types of businesses by interning with companies ranging from SMEs to multinational corporations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and the United States. After graduating from business school, he joined a local bank as a graduate trainee where he developed an interest in law.
Jacky then pursued his legal education and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2021 and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2022 both from the City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining our firm as a trainee solicitor, Jacky interned with a reputable Chinese law firm in Hong Kong where he assisted in conveyancing and real estate matters. He also worked in the compliance department of an American fund house and was involved in matters relating to financial regulatory and compliance.
Jacky has assisted in the compulsory sale for redevelopment case in which the firm acted for a well-known developer; assisted in drafting/translating the sale brochure of a property project; assisted in handling both civil and criminal litigation (recovery of debt, contract dispute, tortious claim and possession of child pornography); and worked in in-house financial regulatory compliance work involving anti-money laundering, licensing and trade monitoring.
Jacky speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
